F1 calenders are hectic and Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez feel the same. There is constant traveling involved for all these drivers and the teams. Sometimes things become worse when there are back-to-back races on the calendar. This results in the individuals not getting enough rest while traveling across the globe.

To make things worse, often the destinations are at opposite ends of the globe. Baku is pretty far from Canada, and Verstappen and Perez themselves pointed out the same thing. Further backing Verstappen’s stand, Checo reminded fans about the off track duties and how they make it all the worse for a driver.

Verstappen initiated and pointed out, “Yeah it’s been, you know the last two races have been really busy like a lot of commitments, lot of people around. Basically, from Miami almost it’s been nonstop flat out and basically, we’ll continue because like after this race I have to go to Austria then I fly straight of course to Montreal. After Montreal, i still need to stay there because I’ve to go to New York….. “

“I think we should find a better way of connecting races coz I mean we go to Baku, then we go to Montreal, completely the other way and then we go back to Europe like it’s… Yeah like, for sure, there must be a better way of fitting all these races in.”

Perez joined in and further added, “People don’t realize you know that we have the races, we have the so many commitments with partners plus the simulator.” Clearly, the Jet lag and many other factors can often affect the drivers’ mood going into the race and it is certainly not easy.

Checo and Verstappen are a dream duo for team Red Bull. They’re both very good at their jobs and have finally presented Red Bull the opportunity they’ve been waiting for all this while; the Constructors’ championship. Both drivers have consistently been on the podiums with Perez winning in Monaco and Verstappen recently conquering Baku.

There have been slight sparks of competition between the two teammates, but things are still under control. Currently leading the tables 1-2 Verstappen might be on his way to the second world championship, while Perez is on his way to first.  So, who do you back for the 2022 championship?
