After a thrilling event at the Brazilian Grand Prix, the F1 calendar is moving over to the Las Vegas GP. Considering that F1 is returning to Vegas after a long hiatus and a brand new track is set to be unveiled, the recent negative backlash from the community does not help the organizers in any way. Moreover, with further details being revealed about the track, fans have raised an alarm as F1 seems to have overlooked a major safety check at the Las Vegas street circuit.
The construction of the Las Vegas street circuit seems to be quite odd. Whilst finishing up a brand new track, that too in the busy streets of Vegas can surely be challenging. However, given that the track was only finished one week before the race, it seems like the entire process might have been a bit rushed.
This is now more evident, as F1 has shared track updates regarding the Las Vegas circuit. However, F1 fans are eagle-eyed and nothing can truly escape from their vision.

Las Vegas Grand Prix: Doomed to be chaotic?
Recent photographs have started circulating the internet, with the fans already raising safety alarms as F1 might just have overlooked. If you thought that the fans had enough of criticizing F1 and Liberty Media, you’d be quite wrong! The latest snippets of the pitlane exit at the Las Vegas street circuit have caught fans off-guard as nobody expected the pit exit layout to be so unique, and borderline safety hazard.
The whole things sketchy
— ruttspeed paul (@ruttspeed) November 10, 2023
This tweet by a fan perfectly sums up the pit lane exit at this circuit. It is quite literally sketchy in every essence. Could you imagine Lance Stroll doing a pit exit while Max Verstappen is doing a fast lap? Boy oh boy, wouldn’t that be chaotic!
That looks EXTREMELY tight…This race is going to be more chaotic than Germany 2019
— Kieran/Mega 🏆 (@MegaVSPrimus) November 10, 2023
This fan gives a throwback to one of the most chaotic and memorable races in recent history. The entertaining German Grand Prix where Sebastian Vettel had one of his best performances for Ferrari. But coming over to this race, yes, that pit lane is extremely tight! Arguably one of the strangest and most confusing pit exits ever!
At the very least they should use a pit exit warning board like in Monaco. The drivers need that information before the corner to adjust their trajectory through it accordingly
— Mathew Bancroft (@bancroft_mathew) November 10, 2023
This fan draws an interesting comparison between the pit-lane exits of the Vegas circuits and the Monaco Grand Prix circuit. Given that both tracks are street circuits with congested pit lane exits, Vegas’s track layout is simply much worse than the iconic Circuit de Monaco. The fact that there isn’t any warning board at the Vegas circuit, given that its pit lane exit is considerably tighter and more chaotic than Monaco’s, is quite baffling.
Looks bloomin narrow
— Freddie Hodkin 🇪🇺💙 (@FreddieHodkin) November 10, 2023
Indeed, it does! Arguably the narrowest pit lane exit of all time. You can just imagine the chaos that is bound to happen at the Las Vegas Grand Prix. God knows what F1 was thinking by overlooking this section of the track. Now consider the cold temperature of the city, and you have a recipe for disaster.
Ugh on the racing line
— S (@Sameer__ban) November 11, 2023
Rest in peace to the racing line at the Las Vegas street circuit. The qualifying session is going to be absolute carnage. Perhaps many teams would consider running an early lap during the session.

However at Monaco there’s a clear line and space between the exit and the pit lane exit – exiting on the straight in full view.
The one at Vegas seems to squeeze onto that same line pic.twitter.com/GXPbNMvysk

This fan draws an interesting difference between the pit exits of the Monaco and Las Vegas circuits. Granted there’s a legitimate debate regarding the pit exit warning board, but you simply have to consider that despite being such an old track, the Circuit de Monaco still has decent amounts of space between the turn exit and the pit lane exit. Whereas, the Vegas track does not and rather merges with the racing line. Simply put, this track is clearly quite rushed and requires a lot of changes.
