Recently, Alpha Tauri driver Pierre Gasly spoke to Will Buxton on various subjects. Among them, he spoke about his surprise podium at the 2019 Brazilian Grand Prix. According to the Frenchman, the team tested high downforce, medium downforce, and low downforce setups., which helped in out dragging Lewis Hamilton at the finish.

In the end, the team opted for the medium downforce, because they also had to think of the tyres, and that made all the difference.
