The 54-year-old features prominently in the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise, playing the lead character of Dominic Toretto. Since 2001, the franchise has released nine installments, with a 10th installment in the pipelines.

While performing outrageous stunts, Diesel speaks about the importance of family in various parts across the movies. Following the release of Fast and Furious 9 earlier this year, Twitter played host to several memes around the action hero and the word ‘family’.

Yesterday, Diesel came to Monza sporting a black sleeveless t-shirt and jeans. Ironically, the word ‘Brotherhood’ featured on his t-shirt as well. Following his appearance, fans took to Twitter to share their reactions to his appearance.

While some fans used photos of his appearance in Monza, others used pictures of his character from the movies. One fan mentioned Max Verstappen’s pit stop, while another credited McLaren’s surprise one-two finish to Diesel.

Although Hamilton and Mercedes showed tremendous pace all weekend, his fortunes took a turn for the worse on Saturday. Despite starting second in sprint qualifying, the Briton fell back to fifth in a matter of seconds. Following Valtteri Bottas‘ penalty, Hamilton started yesterday’s race from fourth.

The defending world champion started yesterday’s race well, moving up to third in the opening lap. However, in Lap 26, he collided with his title rival Max Verstappen. This sent the Dutchman’s car in the air before landing on top of Hamilton’s car.

This meant he failed to finish the race and score points, which could prove costly with just eight races to go this season. He now heads to Sochi five points behind Verstappen in the driver’s championship. Can Hamilton bounce back in the Russian Grand Prix? Or will his Red Bull adversary find a way to extend his lead.
