Mercedes confirmed earlier today that Toto Wolff will stay on with the team. He will stick by Mercedes for another 3 years as a part of the new deal. Toto will also have the opportunity to transition into a new executive function within the organization if he decides so.

Wolff has played a significant role in the success of Mercedes during the hybrid era. He arrived at the team in 2013 and since the following year has won every single Constructors’ and Drivers’ Championship title.

As a part of the new deal, it was also announced that Mercedes’ principal partner INEOS will own a one-third stake in the Formula 1 team. Meanwhile, Wolff discussed what took so long to confirm his future at the team.
