Sebastian Vettel may have four world championship titles to his name, but it seems like the German has made more impression off the track than on the track – by indulging in rather heartwarming actions.
Just a couple of weekends after the garbage collection drive at Silverstone, Vettel yet again ended up in the headlines at Hungaroring on Friday evening.
The four-time world champion apparently received a silent invitation from a fan for a wedding proposal. And of course, it is normal for a celebrity to receive such invitations and it isn’t an absolute necessity to acknowledge such requests.

However, despite the name and fame, Vettel proved to be a gentleman, as he joined Daniel Koronczi while he proposed to his now-fiancee, Veronika Matyo.
How the Sebastian Vettel story unfolded
Matt Bishop, Aston Martin’s Chief Communications Officer, tweeted about the actual story behind Vettel and the Slovakian couple.
Daniel and Veronika had apparently met each other at the Hungaroring four years back, and the former decided to do something special out of this weekend. The duo ran into Vettel at the airport, where Daniel slipped a note into the German without causing much suspicion.

The note was an invitation for Vettel to join the proposal. It all went as per plan, and the Slovakians waited at the main entrance as the drivers left for their hotels after FP2. However, something strange was going on in the background, which Daniel wasn’t aware of.
After waiting for Vettel, who hadn’t shown up until then, Daniel decided to proceed with the proposal to Veronika. Seconds after he heard the ‘yes,’ a strange man arrived at the scene on an electric scooter, which ultimately turned out to be the much-awaited guest, Seb.
Vettel’s gift to the newly engaged couple
Vettel showing up is pretty much the best gift an F1 fan could ever hope for, but the German did not stop there, as he wanted to make their days even special. He gifted the Slovakians with a hand-written note, that read his best wishes for the couple.

He also joined the couple for a photography session, before heading out of the park, moments past 7 in the evening. And this will undeniably remain the kind of memory that Daniel and Veronika will cherish until the very end, thanks to the classic Seb.
