After Lando Norris missed out on his potential race victory at the Russian Grand Prix, a bizarre stat went viral on social media.

All the participants of the Twitch Quartet Quiz, which includes Charles Leclerc, Alex Albon, George Russell, and Lando Norris, have all lost their first potential victory in Formula 1 in a heartbreaking fashion.

Reliability issues conceded Charles Leclerc the first win at 2019 Bahrain GP

In only his second race with Scuderia Ferrari, Charles Leclerc secured his first-ever Formula 1 pole position. However, the young Monegasque driver wasn’t able to convert his pole to his maiden victory under the floodlights in Bahrain after reporting an engine problem.

Charles Leclerc was cruising in the lead, but then on lap 46, the Ferrari driver reported an engine problem over the radio. The Maranello-based team looked into the problem and confirmed an issue with MGU-H, which was costing Leclerc a huge chunk of straight-line speed.

Two laps later, Lewis Hamilton overtook the pole-sitter to take the lead. On lap 54, Bottas passed the Ferrari driver. Eventually, Charles Leclerc finished third and secured his first podium with Ferrari.

Hamilton collided with Alex Albon to cost him his first potential win

During the first race of the 2020 season at the Austrian GP, Red Bull’s Alex Albon was on course to secure his maiden F1 victory. However, the young British-Thai driver was robbed of his potential first victory after a collision with Lewis Hamilton. The duo collided twice in a space of three races.

On lap 61, Alex Albon attempted an overtake on the seven-time world champion for second place. As he was on fresher tires, he went narrowly ahead of the Briton. And on turn 4, Hamilton’s front left tire tangled with Albon’s rear left, which resulted in the Red Bull driver spinning into the gravel.

Botch pit stop costs George Russell his first win

Russell made heads turn when he replaced Lewis Hamilton at the 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix after the latter tested positive for the coronavirus. Russell qualified at P2 after narrowly losing out on pole to teammate Valtteri Bottas.

George Russell looked poised to win the race until he was involved in a pit stop blunder, finishing the race at P9, earning his first points in F1 – two for the ninth place, and one for the fastest lap. Later, the media and Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff praised him for his performance and grit.

A late rain shower denied Lando Norris his first win at 2021 Russian GP

After producing a sensational lap in qualifying to secure his maiden pole position, Lando Norris failed to convert his pole to victory in the closing stages of the race.

Norris crossed the checkered flag at P7  after trying to stay out on hard compound tires while Lewis Hamilton and the rest of the grid pitted for intermediates. The young Brit did his best to keep the lead, but with the rain worsened in the last laps, he eventually slipped off the track and Lewis Hamilton passed him for P1 with just three laps to go.
