The world is full of people with different ideas and ideologies. Moreover, people from different countries can have different doctrines. And this can be quite evident at times. On one such occasion, Red Bull Racing’s mechanic Calum Nicholas faced an unusual situation after landing in Abu Dhabi.

As the Red Bull mechanic took to Twitter to share his experience, it was not something he enjoyed. Nicholas wrote, “Walk through Abu Dhabi airport, with the whole team….they decide they need to search my bags, just me….every single year, same sh*t! I wonder why it’s just me.”
The engineer went on, “The guy was sniffing my underwear…weird flex 😂.”
This wasn’t something the Red Bull personnel experienced for the first time, though. This was quite a frustrating aspect for him.
Calum Nicholas further asserted, “He then asked if the team issued Tag [Red Bull sponsors] watch in my bag belonged to me.”
Red Bull are in Abu Dhabi for one last dance this season
Red Bull, along with Calum Nicholas, reached Abu Dhabi for the ultimate showdown of the 2022 F1 season. As the Austrian F1 team has already picked up both driver’s as well as constructors’ championships, there isn’t much to play for them, except helping Sergio Perez secure his P2 position.

Max Verstappen picked up his driver’s championship in Japan with four races to spare. It was the same for the team as well as Red Bull picked up the constructors’ title in the US with three races to go. The only aim for the Austrian team now is to have their drivers finish 1-2 in the driver’s standings.
Perez is currently in P3 in the driver’s championship with 290 points. Even though he has the same points as his chief rival, Charles Leclerc, the Mexican is behind because of his number of wins in the season. Leclerc won three races this season, whereas Perez has won two so far.

When the lights go out in Abu Dhabi, the former Racing driver needs to stay ahead of Leclerc to ensure his best-ever F1 finish in a season. Team principal Christian Horner stated that the Mexican will receive the support of his teammate Max Verstappen in the bid to get Red Bull a 1-2 in the WCC, a feat they have never achieved before.
But keeping in mind the Dutchman’s recent antics in Brazil, do you think he would be a day late and a dollar short helping out Checo at the Yas Marina Circuit?
