Recent reports suggested that former Racing Point title sponsor BWT (Best Water Treatment) will continue to stay on the grid this year. Having been dropped by Racing Point when they converted to Aston Martin, BWT had been linked with Haas F1. However, newer reports have emerged that claim this to be untrue.

German publication RTL said, “Will we see Mick Schumacher in his Formula 1 debut in 2021 in pink? The answer is no. the company BWT will not sponsor the US racing team Haas, for which Schumacher is contesting his first season in the premier class.”
Fans will remember BWT for their infamous pink-colored cars, but the livery wasn’t exactly a fan favorite. A large majority will be relieved to see Haas won’t be sporting those colors for 2021. They’d much rather stick with their classic color scheme of black, white/gray with a hint of red.

However, fans will only know what the car looks like when the American team reveal their date for the launch. They are the only team so far who have not set a date to unveil their 2021 challenger.

If not Haas, then who?
The other most likely destination that is touted is Williams F1. It looks like BWT are having trouble finding a bigger team who would want to associate with them. The deal does suit Williams, though; the Grove-based outfit still doesn’t have a title sponsor after parting ways with ROKiT before the 2020 season even began.

Having finished the previous season in dead last, coupled with the financial pressure inflicted with the pandemic, they will love to have a big name title sponsor on board as Dorilton Capital aim to usher a new and better era at the iconic team.
They may have to include pink on their livery though, and there’s no telling how good the car would look. However, we might get an idea as soon as March 5, the date when they will launch their 2021 car.
Will the historic team break their points drought this year? Can they beat their rivals Haas and Alfa Romeo? Or will they end up dead last yet again? We shall soon see.
