Mick Schumacher’s place in the F1 family for the next season seems unlikely. As Schumacher has consistently tried his best to convince the team to extend his contract, Gene Haas isn’t quite sold. Although the boss claims he has his reasons, the fans are not on board with it.

Mick Schumacher has arguably performed well this year, especially when we take a look back at his debut season. However, the German has had trouble securing points, and this seems to be the biggest reason for the discontinuation of his contract with Haas.
Reflecting back at the US Grand Prix that took place in Austin, Gene almost blamed Mick for another point-less finish. He said, “When Mick and Magnussen came in, they both got the same tires. When Mick came out again, he was in a group of cars and stayed with them. Magnussen fell backwards to save his tires, while Mick used them up. Mick then inevitably had to come in ten laps later and change tires, which set him back. “
The Fans have not been taking this well. They’ve had a lot to share and they believe that this makes the team an F1 ‘joke.’
Twitter didn’t shy away from expressing their displeasure regarding the matter. They believe this is unfair, and that Haas is only rather ‘trying to get rid’ of Mick. Some even said that Haas has ‘an agenda’ against the man.
Twitter is furious at the Mick Schumacher seat debate with Haas
Twitter has come to Schumacher’s rescue. People are sympathetic to the German and some have asked him to consider IndyCar where the drivers can ‘make a difference.’ People are upset and hope that Mick makes a different choice because he deserves better.
Here’s what Twitter had to say.
the way Haas hates Mick is so upsetting. https://t.co/ILo41TzCoe

Sarcasm found it’s way here too.
Good for Magnussen! As we all know, the purpose of racing is to have the nicest tires at the end. https://t.co/tTQlctRKCo

Gene Haas is a bigger joker than fucking Otmar. In fact Haas are the joke team now because of what they’re doing with Mick. If they want rid of him so bad. Do it. https://t.co/2vp2D9v6Nd

People asking why Gene Haas doesn't want to extend Schumacher
-> Mick is no longer FDA (the seat is for FDA drivers)
-> Mick tried to pursuit after the Alpine seat rather than extend with Haasso yeah I'd be mad too https://t.co/iu4ZSsL8OW

The way things are unraveling for the 23-year-old, he has clearly not been well-received by Haas. All things considered, it seems Mick Schumacher will be off of the grid in 2023. In your opinion, would it be right for Haas to show him the door?
