It’s not about what one is chasing, it’s about what one has left behind during the chase. Max Verstappen and tennis world no.1 Carlos Alcaraz have come out supporting Fernando Alonso in his decade-long endeavor. As the “El Plan” takes shape, the Spaniard pursues a trend that’s been going around social media.

Fernando Alonso last won a Grand Prix back in 2013. Since then he’s stuck on 32 race wins. However, for the first time in over a decade, Alonso has a car capable of winning races. The Spaniard has already bagged 2 podiums in 2 races and is looking for a win now. Fans are all excited for Alonso’s 33rd win as “Como 33” positioned itself as the No.1 Twitter trend in Spain.

Alonso was believed to race with the 33 number this year. But the number is reserved for the driver who previously used it for two years, in this case, Max Verstappen. Therefore, Alonso stuck with No. 14. Alonso’s El plan to win his 33rd race and then a championship can be seen all over his social media now.

In a recent tweet posted by Autosport, Verstappen was asked about Alonso asking for number 33 to which the Dutch replied “It’s a good number”. According to the tweet Fernando said “He’s still using number 1, I will ask for 33 next year.” Alonso further added, “Hopefully we can reach the number [33] in terms of wins and then we can go for 34!”
