Lewis Hamilton is a legend of our sport. Formula 1 has been redefined by the exploits of the 7-time World Champion. Naturally, with all that he has achieved in Formula 1, comes great acclaim. And even some of the biggest names around the globe then want a piece of it.

Lewis Hamilton and Serena Williams have always shared a good relationship. And by extension, you’d expect her husband, entrepreneur, Alexis Ohanian to do as well. That being said, it would appear that he’s not just a friend to the Brit. He’s also a massive fan!

Ohanian took to Twitter to showcase a collection of limited-edition sporting collectibles to his followers. He captioned it, “Some of my favorite athletes in this @altxyzofficial liquid auction…” names like Kobe Bryant, Tom Brady, and Kylian Mbappe featured in the star-studded list. But amongst it all was a special 2020 Lewis Hamilton trading card!

The auction hosted by Alt allows fans to bid for and buy their favorite collectible cards that range from a whole plethora of sports. Clearly, Alexis has his eyes on his favorites:

But this isn’t the only time that Alexis Ohanian has publicly declared that he is on team Hamilton. When the whole Nelson Piquet scandal happened, Williams’ husband took a strong public stand against the 3x World Champion.

Well, it’s safe to say that Nelson Piquet has a habit for saying and doing very controversial and borderline distasteful things. But he crossed a line when he directed racially motivated slurs and comments toward Lewis Hamilton. F1 stood with Hamilton, but so did Alexis Ohanian.

Piquet was quoted saying, “The little black guy [Lewis Hamilton] put the car in and left it because there was no way to pass two cars on that curve. He did it as a joke. His luck is that only the other one [Verstappen] got f*cked up” [translated via Google Translate] in the aftermath of the 2021 British Grand Prix. Ohanian took to his Twitter handle to simply comment this:
