As F1 returns to the US once more, let’s look back at the time when Lewis Hamilton was eager to meet one of the biggest singer-songwriters in the world.

Back in 2016, Lewis Hamilton arrived in the state of Texas for the annual United States Grand Prix, battling for supremacy with his then-teammate Nico Rosberg. While the Silver Arrows spearhead had Sunday’s race in mind, that didn’t stop him from opening up on Taylor Swift, the American pop superstar.

When asked if the three-time F1 world champion would like to meet the pop star prior to Sunday’s race, as per USA Today, Hamilton conveyed, “I’m going to try to. I know Taylor a little bit. She’s amazing. I’m a massive fan of hers.”

Swift, who performed the massive hit “This is what you came for” by Rihanna and Calvin Harris, also recognized the importance of the show. Talking about this, Swift shared, “This show is really important because we have people from all over the world. Thank you for that.”

The time when Lewis Hamilton met Taylor Swift

The Mercedes F1 star was once spotted with the Pop star for the Tommy Hilfiger event. This comes in 2016, ahead of that year’s United States Grand Prix. Hamilton, who has been a Tommy Hilfiger face for a long time, met Taylor Swift and Martha Hunt.

31-year-old at that time, Hamilton donned ripped jeans, black high-top trainers with a white T-shirt with black and red block stripes. Combined with a military-chic twist to the ensemble, he wore a khaki Dsquared2 jacket embroidered with badges and large diamond studs, and a silver chain.
