The love-hate relationship that Toto Wolff and Christian Horner have shared over the years has now become a long-distance one. In reality, the Milton-Keynes-based outfit has put a few seconds between themselves and the Silver Arrows in the past couple of years. But that doesn’t mean the two don’t do enough to try to make it work! For instance, at the 2023 Belgian GP, Horner took inspiration from his beau, Geri Halliwell to deliver a nostalgic ‘love-tap’ to Wolff.
It isn’t every day that you get to take notes from a Spice Girl. However, the Red Bull boss has the distinct privilege of being married to one. That’s exactly why he took the opportunity to replicate an iconic Halliwell moment to show some love to the Mercedes supremo.

Back in their heydays, the Spice Girls were the talk of the town and Halliwell turned quite a few heads as she put the royal protocol to disdain while “Patting him [King Charles III] on the bottom,” in 1997. 26 years later, it was another Brit doing the same, but to F1 royalty instead!

Horner can be seen walking past when Toto Wolff was engrossed in an interview with Sky Sports. That’s when he cheekily planted a tap on the Austrian’s backside as he went on his way. Wolff can also be heard hilariously quipping, “That’s harassment!“
While it’s all fun and games when it comes to his rivals, Christian Horner runs a pretty tight ship at Red Bull.

Sergio Perez is arguably living on borrowed time at Red Bull. Even though, currently, the Mexican Minister of Defense sits second in the Drivers’ Championship, it isn’t looking pretty. And with the pace deficit to Max Verstappen enunciated at the Belgian GP, Perez revealed how Horner tries to keep his driver in line to get the best out of him.
He was quoted by Express UK as saying, “He [Christian Horner] came before qualifying and said ‘if you’re not in the top three I will not talk to you the rest of the weekend’. So he was talking to me the rest of the [Belgian GP] weekend,” in the aftermath of his front-row Quali effort at Spa.
