Do you recall how Lewis Hamilton kept on calling Mercedes out when they did not listen to him? Max Verstappen has taken a page out of his rival’s book and has thrown rant after rant at the FIA’s face. The latest of them has enraged the fans as they cannot take the Dutchman criticizing the same thing over and over again. They took to Twitter to express their wrath for the newborn crybaby of the Grid.
Lewis Hamilton is widely considered the crybaby of the F1 grid due to his constant criticism of any minor inconvenience. But by the looks of it, we might have a new contender to challenge him. Max Verstappen has been all over criticizing the new sprint format and talking about how it increases the pressure on the team. The Dutchman has not left a single chance to call FIA out over the decision and even threatened to leave the sport.

At the test run of this new Sprint format, Charles Leclerc took the pole in both the regular qualifying and the sprint qualifying. Helmut Marko suggested Verstappen will start liking the new sprint format once he wins it as the championship leader always has problems with mid-season changes that can possibly affect their chances. However, Max Verstappen’s nightmare seems to be taking place as he wasn’t able to take the pole in any of the qualifying sessions.
A Tweet posted on Twitter suggested that Max Verstappen has once again criticized the sprint format. The Tweet reads that Max Verstappen said “This format is terrible”. While the sprint Qualifying and the fewer practice session did make things very much hectic for the teams and driver, there’s no doubt that Leclerc outperformed Max Verstappen purely on the basis of pace.
Fans expressed their frustration and anger at Max Verstappen as he became somewhat of a crybaby cribbing about the same thing over and over again. Max’s cribbing and retirement threats won’t make the FIA change the decision. Let’s see how the fans reacted to Verstappen’s terrible rant.
Fans react to Max Verstappen’s Terrible rant about the new Sprint format
Fans took to Twitter and slandered Max Verstappen for his consistent complaints about the format. Many suggested that he is critical of the format just because he is not P1 and is potentially slower than Charles Leclerc. Others suggested Max Verstappen drive faster next time around to beat the other and get P1 rather than cribbing like a baby. Let’s see how the fans reacted:
Because he’s not P1 for once 😂😂😂 such a crybaby

Then came the mandatory Hamilton and Verstappen comparison. Some people were wondering who is crying more between the two drivers. Someone suggested giving Verstappen’s rocketship to Hamilton as he’s crying so much.
Don’t know who is moaning more, Max or Hamilton

It’s objectively more entertaining. Shows skill to see who can adapt the quickeyst
— Horatio Velveteen (@GregandLarryB99) April 29, 2023
The one practice session means that teams have to adapt quickly to the track and cannot send as much data as they used to back to the factory to analyze. It brings uncertainty and shows which drivers are good at adaptation. It’s yet to be seen how the main race pans out because of these changes.
