F1 fans enjoy moments of endearment between Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel. Though the two have shared a brief rivalry, they certainly enjoy each other’s company. In fact, the notorious videos of the two poking fun at things during serious interviews are iconic and still float around on the Internet.

Since Vettel’s move to Aston Martin, he’s rarely ever spotted on the front row. And fans certainly miss his funny remarks during interviews and camaraderie with Hamilton. But the two world champions’ respect and appreciation for each other is quite clear, as they always wish well for one another.

In an old video from 2019, we saw the Knight congratulating Seb on the birth of his child. He said, “Congratulations to Seb! You know he’s a great father. I’m struggling just to keep my dogs… erm… alive. and also just managing being an uncle at the moment. That’s hard enough as it is.

“So yeah, got my hands tied at the moment.” The driver was grinning from ear to ear in his black overalls, expressing his genuine happiness for a friend.

2019, was a special year for Seb who married his girlfriend, Hanna Prater. This was also his penultimate year with Ferrari as the driver, post 2020, moved ahead with team Aston Martin.

Besides sharing a love and passion for racing, the two drivers share something else: to stand against discrimination. Be it raising their voice for marginal communities or talking about women’s empowerment, the drivers have very similar approaches.
