FIA postponed the decision to release the verdict last week. However, they stuck to their word this time around and released a statement claiming 2 teams breached last year’s financial budget cap spending. Both Aston Martin and RBR fouled a procedural breach. However, Red Bull is also guilty of minor overspending.
Furthermore, the FIA is yet to determine the appropriate punishment for the breaches. Sky Sports F1 shared a tweet on Twitter stating, “The FIA Cost Cap Administration is currently determining the appropriate course of action to be taken under the financial regulations with respect to Aston Martin and Red Bull.”
Red Bull’s rivals Mercedes and Ferrari will be pushing for a stern punishment together. Both Toto Wolff and Mattia Binotto have openly pressurized the FIA to set an example by punishing Red Bull appropriately.
However, RBR has challenged the FIA’s decision. Releasing a statement shortly after, the Milton Keynes outfit reacted to the accusations with “surprise and disappointment”

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen clinched the title on the final day against Lewis Hamilton last year. In what was a controversial decision of its own, Mercedes and Hamilton fans will hope for a strict punishment that sets the appropriate example from the FIA.
F1 Twitter reacts to FIA finding Red Bull and Aston Martin guilty
The FIA’s verdict visibly infuriated Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton fans. Team LH44 wanted the FIA to ban Red Bull Racing’s winnings and set a precedent. Twitter inadvertently broke out into a riot. Here’s how the fans reacted to the verdict.
appropriate would be banning them and stripping them of all their ill-gotten championships. If this sport wants any team to actually respect the cost cap then the full might of the regulations must be applied but because this is f1 and the fia is in charge we can forget https://t.co/ChB8mZ3jrn

So in Summary the following illegal activities had to happen to dethrone Sir @LewisHamilton from attaining his 8th WDC:
✅ RB cheating by breaching the Cost Cap
✅ RB, Masi and the @fia cheating by violating the SC regulations in AD21Ok, noted 😐. https://t.co/63NlowgDwt

Moreover, many fans demanded Red Bull’s disqualification from the championship; both 2021 and 2022.
Dear @fia , breach of the cost cap regulations should result in full season disqualification for 2021, probably 2022 too imo. Just sayin'.

Ross Brawn said in 2019 that if you breach the cost cap you lose your Championship. These regulations have Teeth!
Now let's see if the @fia actually believe in their own rules.— Paul Webber (@wingers_66) October 10, 2022
Furthermore, some fans went to the extent and called Red Bull out for “cheating”.
Isn’t this also known as cheating? https://t.co/d3yv9ki0wh

a minor break isn’t nothing when other teams had to fire members of their staff to meet the cost cap. people lost their jobs over the cost cap

0.2mm can you get disqualified from Qualifying. £1-2 million should get you disqualified from a World Championship, unless you’re called Red Bull

On the other hand, fans trolled RBR fans’ hilarious reasoning for overspending.
Redbull claims they have not breached the budget cap… meanwhile every Redbull fan on Twitter says they breached it with catering & food… so which is it
