The final race of the 2022 season ended in a disappointment for Lewis Hamilton. The Brit once again had a heartbreak in Abu Dhabi as he DNF’d owing to mechanical failure, which could have been the result of the damage he sustained during the first lap. Fans felt for the 7-time world champion as he expressed his anguish on the team radio.

Fans were expecting legends Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso, and Sebastian Vettel to do donuts at the end of the race to mark Vettel’s retirement. It was, however, not to be as Alonso bowed out before Hamilton did. Nonetheless, Vettel put on a show for the fans by himself.

After Lewis Hamilton took damage to his floor in the first lap, he complained of facing the issues. While battling Carlos Sainz, Hamilton bounced off of the chicane. From the very first look, one could tell it was a hard bounce not from the tires, but from the belly of the car.

Lewis first complained of a broken floor, then losing grip on the tires. The entire series of radio messages were hard to listen to for the 7-time world champion’s fans. Some, however, had some funny takes as well.
