In the recent light of events at the Circuit of Americas for the US Grand Prix, Brad Pitt made an appearance. As Lewis Hamilton’s new Hollywood project, which is said to star the Academy Award-winning actor as the protagonist, takes shape, Pitt has repeatedly been spotted on the tracks all weekend.
He has been visiting to meet all the F1 patrons. However, an incident pre-race caught the attention of a lot of F1 fans and they aren’t happy.

In Austin on Sunday, prior to the race, Martin Brundle, former F1 driver and F1 pundit for Sky Sports, was on his infamous grid walk. The pre-race shenanigans can even be termed a tradition now. However, this time around, as Martin went up to Brad for a quick interview, Brad swiftly walked past him, not intending to invest in any further chat. Plenty of fans took offense to this ‘disrespect’.
Martin tried to make his way to Brad Pitt and asked him about the movie in the making regarding F1. However, Pitt patted him and walked away, saying, “No, Not yet. Top secret.”
Martin tried to continue the conversation, stating he’d seen quite a bit of him this weekend. But the American actor and film producer continued to walk away and said, “Thank you, man.”
Considering the fact that Pitt is hands-on with the process of making the F1 film, he is meeting all the important people who add value to the sport. But fans could not fathom that the Hollywood man had no idea who Martin Brundle was. And to top it all, as he casually walked away without sparing a minute to talk to the pundit, the fans were furious
Fans didn’t hold off on sharing their displeasure regarding the incident on Twitter.
Twitter was furious about the interaction between Brad Pitt and F1 Pundit, Martin Brundle
Twitter was taken by storm when clippings of the said incident surfaced on the internet. A lot of them believe that if Pitt was this unaware of who Brundle is, he lacked all knowledge of the sport, indicating that he clearly never followed it.
Ergo, the “film” that is to come out, might also lack matter and therefore, possibly be no good. Here’s what they had to say.

You can tell which celebs aren't actual F1 fans by the way they treat Martin Brundle. Brad Pitt you are talking to an F1 legend, have some respect!

Brad Pitt.. the man starring in an F1 film won’t even stop for 30 seconds to speak to Martin Brundle… if you don’t wanna be interviewed, get off the grid and make way for people who do. #USGP #Formula1 @SkySportsF1 @MBrundleF1

Brad Pitt, you're doing a movie on F1 and don't know who Martin Brundle is? It's *the* grid walk. Stop and talk to him.

Make talking to Martin on his grid walk compulsory for grid access if you're a celebrity or influencer. Celebrities who actually show an interest in F1 and speak to Martin get *such* kudos from the fans. Ed Sheeran is at his first F1 race and seemed genuinely excited.

The great pretender is still undefeated. His PR will come out tomorrow and blame it on his "face blindness".

Amid all this outrage, famous F1 journalist, Will Buxton, did give fans some important insight into the matter.
For reference on F1TV our grid walk is always about the cars and the drivers. Who is where and why. If we grab an interview it is rarely with a “celeb” unless we know they are invested in the sport and available to chat. Because for us the celebs are the ones in the cars.
