The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix is finally over and what a show it has been. The Ferrari duo of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz has made it to the podium yet again. However, this time they had to stay happy with two-three as Max Verstappen emerged as the winner. Sainz, who finished in third place, has expressed that he didn’t feel his best in the car.

The Spaniard has picked up P2 last week in Bahrain and P3 here in Jeddah. Despite a good performance up against pole sitter Sergio Perez, Sainz has stated that he lacked performance going into the race. Even though Carlos maintained his place in the race from Saturday’s qualification, it is believed that the man didn’t seem happy about the outcome.

In a post-race interview, Carlos Sainz conveyed, “Yeah the start was good. I had a very good start of the line but unfortunately, we had a situation there with Charles and Checo there. In the end, it was a big drama and it made me give the position to Verstappen because I was boxed in. But from there onwards I was feeling a bit more home with the cars till two or three corners where I’m lacking compared to and not feeling a 100%. Still, some work to do but I’ll stick to the right direction from here.”

The 27-year-old further stated on Ferrari’s fight with Red Bull, “Maybe the balance is having too much inferior to the Red Bull in terms of straight line and we need to make sure that we find some kph because when it comes to racing with them is a bit tough as the battle between Max and Charles showed I think. That was a great job and a great show and I think there’s something more to do.”
