With the Formula One season done and dusted, drivers look back at some intense battles that took place throughout the course of the season. Without a shadow of a doubt, one of the best fights the racing community witnessed was at the Hungarian Grand Prix between Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso.
Drivers such as Lando Norris, Daniel Ricciardo, George Russell, Nicholas Latifi, Pierre Gasly, and Yuki Tsunoda reacted to their on-track battle.
F1 drivers give their inputs as Hamilton battled Alonso in Hungary

Hamilton might have been pushing himself to the limit all season long as he had an intense fight with Max Verstappen. However, at the Hungarian Grand Prix, he had to battle his former McLaren teammate.
F1 reporters Sam Collins and Will Buxton gave their thoughts on the fight as well. Buxton said, “This was magic,” Collins, “This was like the old master putting the manner on the young charger.” Buxton soon responded by saying, “But they are both the old masters now.” as their battle continued, Buxton added, “And Lewis trying to move around the outside turn four, no one pulls that off around turn 4,” Collins added, “Especially not on Fernando Alonso“, “Elbows out I loved and it was fair, probably fair,” Buxton concluded.
Ricciardo said, “A of battle of El *****.” Gasly was surprised and asked, “What they touched? no way they actually touched.”
After seeing Alonso’s move Russell said, “Squeezed him nicely there,” his Canadian teammate added, “Any other track, he would have gone straight by; that’s Budapest.”

So how did the race pan out for Lewis?
Hamilton was pushing himself to the limit as he wanted to get past the Spanish driver. In the end, he managed to overtake but finished the race in third place. However, it didn’t end there for the Knight, as Sebastian Vettel got disqualified which resulted in the Mercedes driver getting promoted to second place. Alonso had to settle for fourth place, earning 12 points in the process.
