Mercedes reserve, Mick Schumacher has recently been feeling fantastic at the Mercedes camp. The German driver was added to the Silver Arrows squad after Haas ousted him and since then he has been free from all of the future concerns. Thus the after-effects have led him to make some carefree comments which now have been lashed out.

The 23-year-old German received a reserve driver place in the Mercedes camp thanks to his legendary father’s connection to the team and Toto Wolff and the Co’s recognition of Mick’s ability. In order to be involved in the sport and possibly return to the grid as soon as possible, Schumacher is now spending the season with Silver Arrows. However, Mick has been in an amazing circumstance where he is not only learning from arguably one of the best drivers, Lewis Hamilton but also is seeing how the major teams operate.

Earlier this year, during the car unveiling of W-14, Schumi made a bold statement, as he said, “Over the winter a few people have already mentioned that there is interest, so in that sense, I’m not too worried.” His statements now have been the talk of the Red Flag podcast’s hosts who believes that Mick has zero self-awareness and also that the German driver is behaving like he has Millions of dollars to back on.

While taking jabs at Schumi’s statement both of the hosts elaborated on the situation. Where the first host mocked the 23-year-old’s statement first and said, “He’s not worried about his future in F1. You’re not worried about it, OK? I’m not worried about it. I’m not worried about it. Spoken like a trust funder who’s got millions of dollars to fall back on.”

The second host quickly interjects and said ” The whole family of people trying to make it happen for him.” And later the other host added, ” Yeah, I’m not. You know what, I’m not worried about it because I have a team, an army of people that are worried about it.” At last, the second host concluded while saying, “For me. Yeah, for me Mick said that. Well, there’s obviously no guarantee I’m in the comfortable position where I feel like. It’s like God forbid he be uncomfortable.”

While it is now well known that the German driver is working with Mercedes, there was much discussion about Guenther Steiner’s treatment of Michael Schumacher when the German driver was ousted by the team. The Italian engineer recently opted to discuss that in more detail.

Guenther Steiner outlines Mick Schumacher’s expulsion from the squad in depth

We all know Gunther Steiner as one of the harshest team principals. In keeping with his personality, he publicly criticized Schumacher all through 2022 after the squad was severely wounded by the massive crashes in Jeddah and Monaco.

Eventually, the squad brought in Nico Hulkenberg to take Mick’s place and now ahead of the publication of his new book, the Haas team boss has chosen to go into more depth regarding the error that cost Schumacher his F1 seat.

While conversing with times, Steiner cried out about Schumacher’s Suzuka crash and said, “It happened on the in-lap! Sure it was very wet out there on the track, but nobody else managed to write off a car while they were driving back to the pits. We lose a car after five minutes and now have to build another.”

Later he added, “I cannot have a driver who I am not confident can take a car around safely on a slow lap. It’s just ridiculous. How many people could we employ with $700,000? And I have to now find that money.”
