Fans across the world anticipated a thrilling final, and England and Italy delivered just that at Wembley last night. In fact, with scores locked at 1-1 after extra time, the game went to penalties to yield a winner. Although England led the shootout initially, Italy stormed back to clinch their first European title in 53 years.
In the build-up to yesterday’s final, various drivers and teams indulged themselves in friendly banter. Norris attended the final at Wembley and put out a post of support towards England on Instagram after the trophy presentation.
Giovinazzi didn’t hold back on the banter, replying, “Maybe you don’t know what it means but… SPIAZE!”
The word “Spiaze” was used by the current coach of Inter Milan, Simone Inzaghi, who often used this word to say sorry in Italian. In fact, it trended worldwide on social media as various fans mocked Inzaghi with the word.
Although Norris may not know Italian, he definitely knows his memes, which would help him understand Giovinazzi on this occasion.
