2021 has arguably produced the most breathtaking F1 season of the decade, and the finale is just around the corner. The upcoming Abu Dhabi GP is all that is left to decide the world champion among the two fighters, Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen.
One might reckon Hamilton has one hand on the title considering his and Mercedes’ form of late; dominant race victories over the past 3 consecutive Grand Prix events in Brazil, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
Despite the odds fairly lying in favor of Hamilton, his rival, Verstappen has a strong message for the fans ahead of the title showdown at Yas Marina.

What did Max Verstappen say?
During an interview with Sky Sports F1, the Dutchman demanded that the fans watch the race on Sunday, as something ‘nice’ is in the offing. The Red Bull driver reckoned that he would be beating Hamilton to the championship title in Abu Dhabi.
“Well, they should switch on the TV on Sunday because something nice is gonna happen. I’m gonna win. So, they need to watch,” Verstappen said.
By the looks of it, Verstappen doesn’t seem to be under much too pressure from his rival, Hamilton, or, maybe, he isn’t showing it on the outside. But as we head deeper into the weekend, the pressure is likely to get to the Red Bull driver.
So, the only question is, can Verstappen keep his composure amidst insane pressing from the 7-time world champion?

Verstappen on the verge of making it into the record books
If Verstappen does manage to finish the job on Sunday, he would break his way into the record books as the 34th distinct world champion; the first such world champion since Nico Rosberg in 2016.
What’s more, he would consequently prevent Hamilton from creating history with a record eight world championship titles; the first driver to supersede Michael Schumacher’s seven world championship titles, set in 2004. Hence, with both the drivers on the verge of creating their own history in F1, who is going to finish at the top?
