It seems the bitterness has prevailed in the Red Bull camp after Verstappen’s decision not to let Sergio Perez pass through him in the final laps. After the collision with Lewis Hamilton, Verstappen soon gained back his pace, and looking at his pace, the Austrian outfits asked the Mexican driver to let the Dutchman past him in order to gain on Fernando Alonso.
But during the last laps when this situation faded, team management asked their star driver to let Sergio Perez pass him as he was fighting for the second spot in WDC with Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc. However, Max Verstappen didn’t let pass Checo, but did reply to his race engineer when asked for the second time.

Dutchman said over the team radio, “I told you already last time, you guys don’t ask that again of me, OK?” he said. “Are we clear about that? I gave my reasons and I stand by it.”
Fans are really unhappy, Verstappen’s one decision has taken the battle of WDC to the final round, where Perez could have got a decent lead on Leclerc.
Twitter F1 fans show their resentment after Max Verstappen’s Stubborn decision
Perez played some crucial parts in both the title-winning of his teammate and Checo was expecting the same favours in return from Verstappen, but he had his ‘reasons’. The move surely would’ve hurt the Mexican driver and fans have shown resentment and dissatisfaction with Verstappen’s decision.
Post-race Perez showed his disappointment and said, “I mean I was told to let him by but I was going to get back to position. I don’t know what was the communication with him on his side?”

Some of the fans are comparing yesterday’s scene with Mercedes, where another fan commented, “There is a clear reason why Mercedes and Hamilton dominated the World Championship for eight years.”

The Red Bull camp must be having some heated arguments post-race. However, Sergio Perez will want to forget what happened at the Brazilian Circuit and will aim for the finals in Abu Dhabi.
