“Someone Check on George”: Fans Worry For Britcedes Bromance as Lewis Hamilton Sets a “Date” With Rival Driver in Austin

By the end of the 28 laps in Suzuka, it no longer was a battle for P1. The real battles were for P2 and P4. Lewis Hamilton and Esteban Ocon were the belligerents for the latter, and boy was that a battle.

As Max Verstappen strolled home to the chequered flag easily, with a massive 27 seconds gap between him and P2, the cameras shifted to the other battles on the track.

While Sergio Perez and Charles Leclerc fought out for P2, Esteban Ocon and Lewis Hamilton grappled for P4. Ocon came out a worthy winner, with his brilliant defense praised by all.

As drivers began to cool down, fans noted an interesting exchange on social media between Hamilton and Ocon. Lewis posted a video admiring an RC truck; Ocon commented on the post “Let’s RC race 🎮 @lewishamilton.”

For the uninitiated, both Ocon and Hamilton love driving RC cars and trucks. And both drivers are really good at it too.

Lewis, in his childhood, won the Blue Peter race in 1992. There’s a YouTube video of young Lewis driving his RC car in the race, with full concentration.

Ocon too has been seen on numerous occasions driving his RC car collection around the paddocks. He also has a video of driving an RC car with Daniel Ricciardo.

Ocon was very quick in replying to Lewis’ post. And Lewis took him up for it, suggesting a race of their RC cars in Austin where they are due to meet in a little over a week’s time.
