Carlos Sainz has a wide fanbase, and he always shows his love for them. But a while back, he rebuffed a fan’s request. The Ferrari driver was seen in a black SUV when mobbed by a few supporters. Here, a fan asked the Spaniard to sign the t-shirt of Barcelona. Sainz, being a loyal fan of Real Madrid, denied the request.

The t-shirt was from the time when the football legend, Lionel Messi, played for the team. As soon as the spaniard noticed the jersey, he became less accommodating.

The Ferrari driver said in his native language, “No, I’m not signing this.”

The supporter holding the shirt responded by shouting, “Forza, Barca”. The Spaniard didn’t want to indulge in any fuss, so he drove away. This is not the first instance when an athlete has denied to sign a shirt of an opponent club. Earlier, it was New Arsenal keeper Matt Turner who snubbed the fan’s request.

The 28-year-old is a die hard Real Madrid fan. The love and passion he has for the game came from his father. Carlos Sainz’s Father is a Real Madrid honorary club member. Besides, He got rewarded for his rallying career. In many instances in the past, Carlos Sainz has been found supporting his team.

Carlos was brilliant last year. He established himself in Ferrari, matching the pace of Charles Leclerc. This year hasn’t been what the Spaniard would have expected. Currently, the Spaniard is at P5.

Twitter reacts in different ways to the incident. Some are supporting the driver to have his own stand. Some are against him and stated that he is being rude to his fans.

Time and again Sainz is seen supporting Real Madrid. He himself is really great at this sport. Sometimes, he is caught warming up with the ball at the paddock before the race.

Carlos’ fans supported him on his stance of not signing the rival team’s jersey.

On the other hand, some got furious at his behavior and called him out as being “Childish”.
