Carlos Sainz has proven to be a stellar signing for the Scuderia. A testament to how good the Spaniard has been in Formula 1 this past year is the accolades he’s been receiving for his exploits alongside Charles Leclerc with Ferrari.

Carlos Sainz, who is a Diehard fan of Real Madrid, has proven his mettle against the very best in the world of Motorsports. He has pushed his teammate Leclerc in a way that Ferrari has benefitted from the partnership. So much so that he has been recognized as the best male sportsperson of the year by Comunidad Madrid.

According to reports, “Carlos Sainz received the Best Male Sportsman Award, today, at ‘Premios Siete Estrellas del Deporte de la Comunidad de Madrid’. which translates to ‘Seven Stars of Sport Awards of the Community of Madrid’.

Sainz also took to Twitter to share his reaction to this award. It is an honor to have received the Seven Stars of Sport Award today as the best male athlete. Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to the @ComunidadMadrid for this special recognition.”

Even amongst all the limelight and recognition he has been receiving, his mind is stuck on winning with Ferrari. Recently, he lashed out against Red Bull and questioned their development progress in a bid to ensure a fair and equal fight with the Scuderia.

The FIA has opened a can of worms after it revealed that it has found Red Bull guilty of breaching the cost cap. The sanctions that are to be imposed on the Bulls are unclear. However, Sainz has pointed fingers at the team.

Sainz began by saying, “I think during a Formula 1 year, it is normally a combination of both, but normally Red Bull moving ahead and us, obviously, trying to keep up on development.”

“But they have developed the car a lot, more than we expected that you could do in a budget cap situation. We try to keep up but sometimes it is difficult.”
