Real Madrid’s honorary member Fernando Alonso is happy with the club’s latest recruitment. As French football team captain Kylian Mbappe has finally signed a deal with the club led by Florentino Perez, Alonso has been on cloud nine. In July, Real Madrid unveiled Mbappe as its newest recruit at Saint Bernabeu in front of many Los Blancos fans. However, Fernando Alonso has indicated that he knew his team wanted to sign the ex-PSG star way before.
So, he commented on Mbappe’s Real Madrid entry, saying, “Very happy after a long wait of 6 or 7 years in which the signing was almost done.” Well, now that Kylian Mbappe is here and Real Madrid finally has a dream team to conquer its rivals, Alonso has just one task for the 25-year-old soccer player. And Mbappe joining a Spanish club means he will debut at the La Liga this year.
However, Pedro de la Rosa believes even the FIFA World Cup 2022 Golden Boot winner cannot make Real Madrid get the La Liga title. Saying this, the Catalan teased Fernando Alonso. But the Spanish two-time World Champion did not fall for this trick. He quickly gave homework to Mbappe so that the soccer star could prove his worth at Real Madrid. As per Marca, Alonso said, “The Champions League is enough for me.”

The UEFA Champions League is an annual soccer competition where all the top-division European clubs contest for the win. Thus, while La Liga is only based in Spain, the Champions League is a bigger affair. And Alonso believes his team, Real Madrid, can win the Champions League despite Pedro de la Rosa’s prediction about a loss at La Liga. While Fernando Alonso has heaped support for Real Madrid now that they have Kylian Mbappe in the club, what did the other Spaniard F1 racer Carlos Sainz have to say about the transfer?

Carlos Sainz had an impatient reaction to Kylian Mbappe’s Real Madrid transfer
All of you Smooth Operator fans might know that Carlos Sainz is an ardent Real Madrid supporter. But the Ferrari racer’s link to the club runs deeper than just being an ordinary fan. His father, Carlos Sainz Sr, was into soccer before becoming a rally racer. So, Real Madrid had approached him for a trial in the 1970s. Years later, Carlos Sr. also contested for the vice-president’s role at the club but he was unsuccessful.
Carlos Sainz shared a message to Mbappe after the Frenchman joined Real Madrid, saying, “You have arrived at the team that wins everything so enjoy being Madridista. It took you long enough.” Thus, just like Alonso had indicated that the transfer could have happened 6-7 years ago, Carlos Sainz also believes Mbappe could have joined Real Madrid a long time back. Meanwhile, just like Mbappe, Carlos Sainz has agreed to a deal with a new F1 team recently. He will be joining Williams in 2025 once his Ferrari deal runs out.
