The story captioned, “Who else is cheering for Morocco???”?Upon seeing this, many fans went crazy on social media as Morocco lost the match 2 – 0 to France. The “Les Bleus” has sealed a spot in the Final against Argentina on December 18.
Although fans were livid as they cited the Nico Rosberg “Curse” hurt Morocco’s chances in the Semis. Many have reacted to Rosberg’s story on social media, getting mad and sarcastic over the 2016 F1 champion. In the past as well, many have noted instances when Nico arguably jinxed the outcome of any sporting contest.
At the 2021 Monaco GP, Rosberg tweeted to support home hero Charles Leclerc. I set the Monegasque driver to start the race in pole position in the principality. But Leclerc had to retire?because of a crash in qualifying. Still, many blamed Rosberg for potentially jinxing the Ferrari driver.

Nico should do it smartly:
he supports Argentina for the 1st half, and France goes 3-0 up
and then he supports France for the 2nd half, and regular time ends 3-3— Dom 🇨🇿 (@Wom_Dings) December 14, 2022
Begging him to cheer for france this sunday🙏

Both France and Argentina fans are livid to avoid Nico Rosberg wearing their jersey this Sunday. While the best thing would be if he supports either team for each half, so it perhaps balances out.
He never learns …

To be fair, Morocco lost to a better French team overall. How one individual’s support jinxed their performance may not be logical. Until Rosberg takes it as sarcasm and banter, it is all cool.
Nonetheless, the Moroccan team played well in the whole tournament and became the first African side to play a World Cup Semi-Final. Many fans related the dream run of the Marrakesh Express to Turkey and South Korea in 2002.

Another soccer instance of the former Mercedes driver arguably jinxing an outcome was in the Euro 2020 held last year. Nico predicted Germany’s win in their Round of 16 match against England. But Germany lost the game and bowed out of the tournament.

Surely the 2016 World champion does not mind such banter, as he has addressed such comments sarcastically. Anyway, France and Argentina supporters will keep their fingers crossed for the Final. What do you think is there something like the Rosberg curse?
