Chelsea had a dismal first season under the ownership of Todd Boehly finishing 12th in the Premier League table and failing to qualify for the Champions League. With a new manager in the form of Mauricio Pochettino in place, Chelsea looks to make steady strides. Mercedes’ $1,600,000,000 is the upcoming battleground for Reece James and Co. as the men in blue prepare themselves with only 15 days remaining for the premier league circus to kick off.

Chelsea is undergoing a transition period which started with Todd Boehly buying the club. In the transfer window so far, a huge amount of players have left the club as Pochettino looks to harmonize everything. As part of the preseason, Chelsea, along with 5 other Premier League teams take part in the Premier League Summer series happening in the USA this year. Having already played one game, Reece James and Co. sit top of the table.

However, the next game might be a challenge for the Men in Blue. Chelsea faces Newcastle United at the Mercedes-Benz stadium located in Atlanta. Chelsea’s official Twitter account posted a photo of the stadium today with the caption “Mercedes-Benz Stadium, we’re here! 👋”. Sports.betmgm.com suggests that the stadium is worth $1.6 Billion with a maximum capacity of 71,000 that can be increased as well. The Mercedes Benz stadium also turns out to be the home ground for NFL’s Atlanta Falcons.

The stadium was opened in August 2017. Mercedes-Benz acquired the naming rights for the stadium in a sponsorship deal that will last 27 years. Before the start of the current F1 season, Mercedes signed a new sponsorship with a US-based brand. Let’s see what the sponsorship is all about.

Mercedes F1 Team signs Solera as Sponsor on a Multi-Year deal

Earlier this year, Mercedes announced its partnership with Solera. Solera is a Texas-based vehicle lifecycle management software firm. As a part of the deal, the Solera logo will be seen on the car as well as the driver’s race suit. Toto Wolff suggests that both Solera and Mercedes share the same belief and values.
