Carlos Sainz Jr. recently made statements about his love for Ferrari and how it’d mean the world to him to win the championship with the team. But guess what? His father, Carlos Sainz Sr. just won the Dakar Rally with Audi. The Spaniard created history by winning the Dakar and Real Madrid bowed down to the champion.

The whole Sainz family is a huge Real Madrid fan. And it makes sense as both Sainz Sr and Jr were born in Madrid. Carlos Sainz Jr has expressed his love for Los Blancos multiple times on social media and has been spotted wearing their jersey as well on numerous occasions. Sainz Jr once refused to sign a fan’s Barcelona jersey. Just goes on to show how big of a supporter of Real Madrid Carlos Sainz is.

As for Carlos Sainz Sr.’s Dakar Rally win, it was the fourth time that the Spaniard won it. What makes it historic is the fact that he became the oldest man to win the Dakar Rally at 61 years old. And it wouldn’t be a complete win without family. Carlos Sainz Jr. was there to cheer his father as he won. The Ferrari driver was spotted waiting for his father as he parked the car and got out to celebrate the incredible victory. To make the victory sweeter, Real Madrid also had some words to share to congratulate Sainz Sr.
