Lewis Hamilton is a popular guest at many parties and events. The F1 legend has developed crazy fame and affinity in several circles. Although, this turns out to be a bit of a headache at times for the Mercedes man. Recently, soccer legend David Beckham’s son Brooklyn had his marriage and Lewis was not able to attend. While the wedding worth $3.5 million happened in April last year, a new lawsuit has emerged about it. The funny aspect is this legal battle entangles Hamilton’s name despite his non-attendance.

Apparently, Beckham’s daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz and her family have sued the wedding planners for $159K. According to a Daily Mail report, Peltz is blaming the wedding planners Nicole Braghin and Arianna Grijalba for leaving Lewis Hamilton’s name on the guest list despite having no RSVP from him.

A leaked text transcript between Peltz and the wedding planners shows the conversation about the same issue. Nicola complained, “Lewis Hamilton did NOT RSVP. So explain why his name is on the list please? We spoke to him. He can’t come so explain why you said he RSVP’d yes.”

On this, the planners claimed that it may have been a technological error about the RSVP. Nicola still remained firm, saying, “That’s not true. He didn’t RSVP AT ALL.”  The planners replied, “Then the email from him was wrong…”

Eventually, Peltz finalized Michelle Rago as the wedding planner in a last moment change. Though, after months of this fiasco Peltz and Beckham are looking to get their deposit back from Braghin and Grijalba’s company.

This perhaps may seem like a trivial issue as Lewis Hamilton had a hectic F1 season going on. While Lewis has good relations with David Beckham and his family, his F1 duties probably did not allow the Mercedes driver to be present for Brooklyn’s wedding. Regardless, it is unlikely that David would be made over Lewis’s absence, as the two legends share a good camaraderie.

The inaugural Miami GP was a star-studded event. Although, this picture of Beckham, Hamilton, Jordan, and Brady encapsulates all the star power of that race weekend.

Previously Beckham has always wished Lewis every time he achieved a major landmark of success. Even during a tight title battle of 2021 against Max Verstappen, David was in support of the British champion at the Qatar GP. He posted to congratulate the Mercedes man for getting another race win, which was also Lewis’s 102nd victory in F1.

Considering the humility and modesty of Lewis Hamilton, he may have apologized to Beckham personally for missing out on his son’s wedding. Nevertheless, he would hope that his non-attendance doesn’t cause much drama in this wedding planner lawsuit.
