However, this piece of history would’ve never been written if the Argentine accepted an offer from the Mercedes F1 team.

We all know how fickle the transfer market is for an athlete. This was never a problem for Messi as the Argentine joined La Masia (FC Barcelona’s youth academy) aged 13. No one, Messi included, could’ve imagined him playing anywhere else apart from his boyhood club. However, the unthinkable happened.

After the 2020-21 season ended, FC Barcelona was forced to let the GOAT go. The financial turmoil at his club forced him to wear the colors of Paris Saint-Germain FC. Messi has won everything there is to win in soccer. Now, maybe the magician can showcase some of it in F1! Or that’s what the Mercedes’ Twitter admin is hoping for.
