Lando Norris copied the trend started by Carlos Sainz of needing some sort of medical attention before winning a race in 2024. The Briton also followed the footsteps of Max Verstappen and became good friends with Martin Garrix. Now, Norris is back to adopt another driver’s love, as he was spotted at Real Madrid’s Champions League Triumph. But where was Carlos Sainz?
Carlos Sainz and his whole family are huge Real Madrid supporters, which makes sense since the Spaniard was born in Madrid. The Ferrari driver has been spotted multiple times wearing the Real Madrid jersey and watching the matches. He once even refused to sign a fan’s shirt because it was a Barcelona jersey. Yet, Carlos Sainz was nowhere to be seen during Real Madrid’s UCL final against Borussia Dortmund.

Couple of great freekicks that required saving Gregor Kobel, a goal from Toni Kroos’ corner met by Dani Carvajal and a costly mistake by the Dortmund defense that led to Vinicius Jr’s goal, and the game was sealed by Real Madrid. Although Dortmund scored a goal in the dying moment, it was flagged offside and the expectations of a nail-biting final 10 minutes were taken away. As Real Madrid won 2-0, they lifted their 15th UCL cup and added to their record of being the most successful team in the Champions League.
What did you make of Lando Norris being at the UCL final but not Carlos Sainz?
