Nevertheless, it had been a while since the Mercedes driver had any rumored flames until his name got linked with the Columbian pop star, putting his bad-boy image in the front seat once again.

Shakira visited Miami for the race after developing a sudden interest in F1. Following that, she also made an appearance at the Spanish GP. It was there that the relationship rumors strengthened. At one point, the two were seen sharing a meal together. Now, that could have just been a friendship, but journalist Jordi Martin claimed otherwise.

On the TV show Amor y fuego (Love and Fire), as quoted by Marca.com, Martin confirmed that the celebrity pair are in a relationship. And that Shakira is “happy and excited” about the same. But he also had some bad news to share. A confidential source from Shakira’s entourage said about Hamilton, “He’s a womanizer.” It did not stop there, as Shakira’s camp pulled off a comparison to the singer’s ex-boyfriend Gerard Pique. They said that Hamilton “is a very similar profile to Gerard Pique.” 

They also added that “He is a fickle person in the sentimental field, who mainly enjoys the process of conquest, and whose priority is his professional interests; beyond love, Lewis [Hamilton] is a man with a strong character, sometimes complicated to deal with; at other times, charming.”

Such comments might land the 7-time champion in hot water. But Martin had more secret information to share about the relationship on his show.

Lewis Hamilton and Shakira Are Planning a Summer Trip

Though her entourage might view Hamilton in a particular way, Shakira seems to be content with their bonding. After giving a strong confirmation that the pair are in a relationship, Martin also revealed part of their travel plans to the public. Now Lewis & Shakira won’t be happy if their vacation trip invites a lot of paparazzi, even Martin acknowledged that before hinting at their trip destination.

He said, “Shakira and Hamilton are planning a trip and I already know the destination (…). I have people who are close to Shakira, they have been meeting this week and she has told them that she is excited, happy.” When asked about the destination, he was quick to deny answering the question and rob the pair of their privacy. He said, “I can’t send 200 paparazzi to fate. It is a Caribbean country and they leave in August.”
