Despite seeming detached on the surface, there are far-reaching consequences being the two sports buried deep. This is exactly what is happening currently in the worlds of Formula 1 and soccer involving Lewis Hamilton and Neymar Jr. Allow us to explain!

We are all aware of the trip Neymar took to Monaco to witness racing in the Crown Jewel of F1. During this visit, the Brazilian met his British friend and even shared some banter. However, this trip to Monaco landed Neymar in some hot water with his club PSG who will want him to leave the club in the next transfer window. Now, according to Foot Mercato, because of this trip, Neymar will be making many more British friends. Although, in a twist of faith not if his friend Hamilton wins.

As per the news outlet, Neymar has made Manchester United his preferred new club. Now, PSG will try to make this move happen despite Neymar’s valid contract which ends in 2027. However, there is a catch where Neymar’s friend will need to lose in order for the Brazilian to secure his preferred move.

As per the reports, amidst United’s takeover, the two leading bidders will affect his future. One of them is British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe and owner of IEONS. In fact, Hamilton even wanted to become a part of the consortium bidding for United. However, it’s Neymar’s personal relationship with Oatar, the other leading bidder will help facilitate his transfer.

In order for him to get his dream move, Neymar needs to wish his friend loses out on the takeover. Although, we have a feeling Neymar would not mind playing for a team which is partly owned by Hamilton. Although, for that to happen, the owner of IEONS needs to fulfill Hamilton’s desire.

Lewis Hamilton needs to convince Sir Jim Ratcliffe before he can be the convincing factor in securing the transfer of Neymar Jr.

There will be a lot of negotiations before Neyamar secures his transfer to United. However, this process will only begin after the takeover is complete. Now, if Hamilton can become a part of the consortium, he might get an edge over the Qatari bid as well. Hamilton has already expressed this desire in the past.

“Jim’s part boss but a partner – I’d say we’re more partners because we’re in this together and I hope in future to do something with Jim and build with him,” said Hamilton. “I do want to get more and more involved in teams because I really do believe in black ownership – there is a lack of it in sports – and black equity. Again, there is a real lack of that.”
