As Martin confirmed that Shakira is excited about the relationship, he warned the Latina about Lewis Hamilton being a “womanizer”. Shakira split with her former Gerard Pique after he was alleged to have an affair. Martin compared Hamilton’s profile to be similar to Pique’s, as he fired the warning shots. 

Despite the alleged sighting of the celebrity duo seen kissing and cuddling, none of them have officially announced the relationship. Amid all this, Lewis Hamilton’s boss was asked if he knew about his star dating the Latina. As per Motorsport. Nextgen-Auto, Toto Wolff avoided any nuisance and replied, “I don’t know anything about that.” When further questioned about Shakira’s spotting in the Mercedes Garage, Wolff said, “I didn’t see anything. I was just looking at my screen.”

Toto Wolff probably dodged a burning bullet by cheekily avoiding the question. Any other answer would’ve added to the fire of the relationship acting as a distraction for Lewis Hamilton. Toto Wolff’s hands are already full with the things happening in Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton.

Lewis Hamilton’s contract posing as a headache for Toto Wolff

Toto Wolff recently suggested that Lewis Hamilton is very close to finalizing the contract with Mercedes. However, a source suggested that Hamilton is asking for a 5-year contract from Mercedes which will see him race until the end of 2028. As if it wasn’t enough to cause a headache for Wolff, George Russell is said to be unhappy with Lewis Hamilton’s 5-year contract as the 25-year-old will have to live in Hamilton’s shadow for 5 more years. 

These civil war rumors at Mercedes are enough to put Toto Wolff and the team off its target, which is to catch up to Red Bull. While the new upgrades are working well, Mercedes still has a long way to go in terms of matching Red Bull’s pace.
