Formula 1, in simple terms, is a game of speed and whoever goes the fastest wins. After the events of the current season, McLaren is currently not winning any races. The poor state of the MCL60 has put the McLaren men towards the bottom of the grid, far from the midfield where they want to be. Their horrendous results from the first two races have had an adverse effect on Lando Norris as well. The Brit isn’t as fast as he used to be and a recent video proves that.

The Brit, like the rest of the grid, took on the five-second challenge thrown at them. The video of the challenge posted on the official Formula 1 page, showcased a worrying side of Norris. A side that has put Norris in his own world and completely unaware of his surroundings, similar to his cluelessness about McLaren’s championship chances. However, when the Brit did come to his senses, it was already too late.

The five-second challenge had various categories. However, the one where Norris miserably failed was one where the drivers had to name three non-F1 athletes. In this day and age, everything and everyone is connected with the help of the internet and social media. Everyone is aware of what is happening in every part of the world. In fact, athletes generate a lot of traffic on social media.

Not knowing of or about athletes from various disciplines is completely unheard of. However, Norris proved that statement wrong during the challenge. In the first five seconds of the challenge, Norris could not name one athlete.

To the Brit’s credit, he did mention, “Fabio Coentrao and Valentino Rossi” after the five seconds were up. However, that wasn’t enough for the fans.

Apart from being slow with his response, the Brit looked absolutely clueless when the question was posed to him. The hilarious delayed response is making the fans draw comparisons with the slow MCL60. Apart from the comparisons, some fans also believe the team’s current state has affected Norris’s thinking ability as well.
