Lewis Hamilton is one of the biggest icons in the motor sporting world. The Briton regularly rubs shoulders with who’s who of the world. So, naturally, Hamilton has a few stories to share that he has picked up over the years. And one anecdote of Hamilton even involves Queen Elizabeth herself!

The Queen chastises Lewis Hamilton
Hamilton is one of the most famous sports personalities in the world. The seven-time world champion has been invited to a fair share of meals and events by his famous friends. Once the Briton attended a dinner with the Queen. However, all was not smooth throughout the lunch, as Hamilton made a hilarious mistake.
In an interview on the Graham Norton show in 2015, the driver revealed an incident from 2010. He said, “I was excited and started to talk to her (The Queen).” However, the Queen quickly taught him some manners.
The Queen said, “No, you speak that way first and I’ll speak this way and then I’ll come back to you.”
Hamilton went on to add, “She is a sweet woman and we talked about how she spends her weekends, houses and music. She is really cool.”
Hamilton has since gone on to win multiple world titles and even attained Knighthood.
Hamilton’s shaky start to life under new regulations

The Briton lost out on the 2021 title to Max Verstappen, in the season finale. Although he came into the season to avenge that, so far he has not had a great start to the 2022 season. Hamilton and Mercedes have been off the pace of their competitors, Ferrari and Red Bull. Despite that, he has a podium to his name that he got in the season opener in Bahrain.
However, the second race in Jeddah saw him fight the entire GP for position, only to finish in P10 to collect a solitary point. However, the last weekend in Melbourne was a lot better for Hamilton, as he finished in P4, behind his teammate, George who received his first podium for his new team.

Lewis currently sits P5 in the driver’s standings with 28 points to his name. Hamilton will be hoping for a good haul of points in Italy this weekend, to close the gap at the top to Charles Leclerc.
