Lewis Hamilton is yet to taste success on the track this year. But he has once again been awarded the Hawthorn Memorial Trophy for his outstanding achievements in F1 during 2021. His battle with eventual champion Max Verstappen last year went right down to the wire, where Lewis lost the championship in a controversial manner.

The 2021 season, ended on a sour note for Hamilton, as he lost the title during the last lap of the Abu Dhabi GP. Despite only finishing second, he showed consistency throughout the season and is arguably a deserved winner of this award.

Meanwhile, the Mercedes man has struggled to adjust to the W-13 and is languishing down at 6th in the championship. He will need to turn around his form quickly if he wants to have a shot at the Hawthorn Memorial trophy for the 9th year running.
