“It seemed to me that Hamilton got out of the car quickly today. When you have to go to the podium, it is much easier,” said Helmut Marko, taking a jibe at their old nemesis Lewis Hamilton in Canada last year. Known for never really mincing his words, Marko doesn’t spare anyone. He always voices his opinions honestly, but perhaps this time around, the LH army has not taken it lightly.

A few days ago, Max Verstappen was named the third highest-paid athlete under 25 by Forbes. While this feat is commendable in itself, Verstappen also gathered a lot of bonuses for his performance last year. And perhaps this has not made Marko extra confident in his golden boy’s success as he decided to call Lewis an unhappy man because of the loss of his throne.

As quoted by GP Fans, Marko said,Lewis Hamilton is upset that he is not the highest-paid driver. Apart from the sporting perspective, Lewis is anything but happy that he is no longer the highest-earning driver in Formula 1. That’s now Max Verstappen.” Hearing this, fans have called out Helmut Marko.

While stating that his own golden boy has edged Hamilton out as the highest-earning driver, Marko also asked Hamilton a scarlet way. Marko believes that though Lewis Hamilton is not a world champion and also that it will be hard for him to become one in the future, Ferrari can help. But hearing Marko mocking Hamilton yet again, F1 Twitter mocked the Red Bull advisor in return.
