The Australian rookie, Oscar Piastri, is all set to take part in his first Formula 1 track event today. But before that goes underway, he revealed the part of his racing gear which he has complete creative autonomy over; the helmet. The first time is always the special one and Piastri’s lid has indeed made sure of that. However, the sweet moment was overtaken by fans, suggesting Oscar should have taken the doughy route.
Piastri took to his social media handles to make the grand reveal. He posted a series of three pictures on both Instagram and Twitter, showcasing his brand-new headgear. The helmet has an orange color dominance, perhaps as a tribute to the team he is making his debut with, and dashes of blue. If one looks closely, the Australian flag can also be spotted hiding behind the visor. The new man of the Woking outfit, who already has fans cheering for him gave them another reason to root for him.
With all that is said and done, the fans can’t keep calm as they put up a united front over a humorous dig at the rookie.

Fans can’t help but find humor in Oscar Piastri’s lid reveal
The McLaren rookie’s helmet reveals left social media disappointed rather humorously as they were expecting a Pastry to make a debut on the lid. The Aussie’s last name, which sounds more like the sweet or salty doughy confectionary, made the fans expect a dash of fun. However, with his first lid reveal the man from the land down under has decided to play it safe.
