There haven’t been a lot of instances where the off-track happenings have overpowered the on-track ones. The biggest fiasco has been the one at Red Bull. The Christian Horner Controversy has engulfed the F1 circus and the tabloids carry news of new developments every day. The latest has been that about the victim’s plight. Her friend spilled some beans, revealing the state she is in.
The victim filed a complaint in December that contained allegations of abusive behavior and sexual harassment by Horner. He was under investigation after that. The team which took the allegations “extremely seriously” later dismissed the complaint absolving Horner. But this result hasn’t been kind to the victim.
According to BBC, the friend stated, “It’s impossible for people to understand what it’s like for her. She can’t talk and she won’t talk. But I can tell you what it is doing to her. Every time I have asked her something, she breaks down in tears and says she’s got no one to talk to because she’s not allowed to talk. She is very upset, very angry, very scared, very intimidated, very lonely. And I think it’s impossible for people to understand without being in her shoes what it’s like for her.”

Christian Horner’s team Red Bull defends the allegations
Red Bull has also released a statement in reply to the ‘no one to talk to’ aspect. The team took a neutral stance and stated it was a private matter with a confidentiality agreement.
Defending themselves from the victim’s allegations, a Red Bull spokesperson said, “Both [parties] signed a confidentiality agreement on it so they both can’t discuss it.”
