The best of Checo Pérez is yet to come: Antonio Perez

As reported by Marçà, the Mexican mentioned Checo is lagging behind both Verstappen and Hamilton in terms of time in the car. He stated that the next season, they all will be on equal footing with new cars and he will be able to compete against them.

“The best of Checo Pérez is yet to come. Checo is not yet one hundred percent in this unit. One important thing to remember: this car is five years old, Max is five years ahead and Hamilton is five years behind advantage sitting in his car,” said Antonio.

He has already had to experiment, develop cars, but in inferior teams, today he is going to develop a car that is in first place today. “ said the Mexican driver’s father.

2022 would be a fresh slate for Sergio Perez as F1 will have new cars. But it would be interesting to see if he would challenge his teammate and the Mercedes in the championship.
