Max Verstappen has been on fire this season. While breaking Sebastian Vettel and Michael Schumacher’s joint record of 13 wins in a season in Mexico, the Flying Dutchman also set the record for the highest points tally a driver has ever reached. His teammate Sergio Perez feels he is operating at a different level and nobody can beat him.

Max Verstappen wrapped the drivers championship in Japan with 4 races to go. Continuing the brilliant run, he won the US GP and delivered the constructors’ championship for his team. This is the first time Red Bull has won both trophies since 2013 when they last achieved the feat with Sebastian Vettel.
Sergio Perez feels Max Verstappen is unbeatable
Despite starting the season on a low, Red Bull delivered a remarkable car. The RB18 faced issues of being overweight and at one point in the season, Verstappen trailed Charles Leclerc by 46 points. Since then the team and their golden boy have shown a remarkable resurgence. A close witness to the development, Sergio Perez recently heaped praises on his teammate.

As quoted by PlanetF1, Perez said, “Max is operating at a very high level from FP1 through the whole weekend so just had a little learning and trying to beat him and trying to do the stuff he is doing.” “So it’s obviously not an easy task. I don’t believe there’s anyone that can come and just beat him straightaway. He’s very solid with the team,” he continued.
Talking about his own development, Checo feels that as the season has progressed, his understanding of the car has grown. “With these cars, you are able to race a lot closer, so I think we need to step up that race pace. The understanding with the team, with the car, I think that has come better in the last few races.”

Sebastian Vettel challenges Max Verstappen to a new milestone
The last time Red Bull secured a double-trophy season, Sebastian Vettel was the man in the driving seat. The German set the record for most consecutive race wins in a season (9) that year, apart from equalling Schumacher’s most race win record. Verstappen broke that record in Mexico.

Talking to the media about Verstappen, Vettel said, “Well done [to him].” “I think he’s had a hell of a season, so hopefully he goes on and get 16 [wins] by the end of the year, because anything else will be a disappointment.”
