Even though he is righty being considered as a contender for the 2022 championship, Sergio Perez arguably deserves much more praise than he gets. Last Sunday, he made a move on the seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, that was an absolute masterclass!
In a wheel-to-wheel battle, the driver can give the very best of them a run for their money. Notably, his legendary defense against Hamilton has also gone down as one of the very best in the recent history of the sport.

Even at the British Grand Prix, the driver had a mega drive to an eventual P2. After front wing damage from colliding with Leclerc, Perez dropped several places. It looked like he had lost out on the race. However, he quickly pitted and worked his way back up. It was during the dying moments of the GP that the Mexican passed everyone except the front runners.
And after a short while, a Perez vs Hamilton vs Leclerc battle ensued. The three fierce drivers were involved in enticing wheel-to-wheel battles. In the process, Perez, unafraid, makes a calculated move on Hamilton from the inside after being denied an overtake.
What an incredible restart!

The three even ran out of road in their pursuit to pass each other. While it was an epic battle, Perez ultimately managed second place, with Hamilton in third. Leclerc, however, had to stay behind due to tire disadvantage. However, the entertainment from the three race cars did cause the British crowd to cheer on and go wild over the battle.
