Ever since the return of Formula 1 after the COVID-19, races are happening with empty stands. However, to keep up the spirit, the Italian Grand Prix has taken up an initiative to take the fans to the stadiums. Simple cardboard cutouts of the fans are to be placed in the start-finish stands to give the impression of a seated audience. Sebastian Vettel took this opportunity to extend his generous help towards the initiative.
The initiative has been taken to generate funds for charity purposes. Italy’s National Institute for Infectious Diseases IRCCS Lazzaro Spallanzani, the IRCCS CA ‘GRANDA Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico Foundation, and the Brianza Association for the ONLUS Heart are set to receive the funds raised for the event.

Vettel decided to pitch in, however, he spiced things up a bit. Sebastian Vettel went around and clicked a selfie. After that, he went around clicking random photos of his teammates. The total count came to 76 photos, all of which Vettel uploaded for the Face of Fan website. Paying €40 for each photo, Vettel raised quite an amount, along with which he personally donated a generous amount.
Apart from the charity engagement, Vettel committed the act as a tribute to give back the passionate audience something in return for their constant support. Vettel would be seen alongside Charles Leclerc who added his contribution earlier this week.
