Despite all the limelight falling on the races since F1’s resumption in early July, the transfer market seems equally exciting. One move that has been talked about is that of Sebastian Vettel to Racing Point (Aston Martin Racing).

According to a report by Motorsport.com, it has been suggested that Vettel would prefer a move to the Brackley-based outfit, should negotiations with Lewis Hamilton prove to be unsuccessful.

Although highly unlikely, the duration of the contract with Mercedes remains clouded in mystery and intrigue. Another factor said to be influencing Hamilton’s decision is Toto Wolff’s future at the helm of the Silver Arrows.

Regardless, if this labyrinth of complexities does indeed go through, Vettel could move to Mercedes. However, even if the Hamilton situation is tied and locked up, Vettel’s move to Racing Point seems unlikely.

Hamilton Not Worried About Future

Lewis Hamilton hinted on his desire to continue racing with Mercedes and that he was ‘super-excited’ to remain with the team.
