Aston Martin’s Sebastian Vettel is being greeted with fan gifts all around as the beloved driver is bidding adieu to the F1 community. With a heavy heart, fans have come to terms with this reality and they are bringing little tokens of memorabilia to express their love for the veteran.

Sebastian Vettel finished in P6 at the Japanese Grand Prix and now has the last four races to go. Fans are emotional with the thought of not seeing the German race in 2023. Hence, they are going out of their way with thoughtful gestures to show what he means to them.

A fan who claims to be the ‘biggest Sebastian Vettel fan in Japan’ had been telling people where they could find him for three days so he could collect fan messages for Vettel. He waited for hours these three long days as he got people to write tributes on the German’s flag.

His Dedication to bring together Vettel fans to make for the perfect farewell gift, came to fruition today. As he met his icon post-race at Suzuka, the flag was delivered with much love and appreciation.

Vettel, being his usual goofy self, was seen acknowledging the banner in a Twitter video as he said, “Did you see your banner?” He then continued to point toward it with a smile.

Fans aren’t the only ones making grand gestures for Vettel’s Farewell. His former teammate and friend has a special helmet that he plans to dawn on the last race for Sebastian.

In 2020, Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, who was Sebastian’s teammate at that time, had a very special gift for his out going mate.

Charles had gotten a special helmet designed for the last race, the 2020 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The helmet featured Charles number sixteen, within which there is a picture of the two from the time they were together as partners.

Paying tribute to his friend and former teammate, Leclerc took to his Twitter to share his helmet with the rest of the world. He quoted, “New helmet for the last race of the season. Danke Seb! Let’s make this last race a good one [Fire emoji]”
